Soft and Simple
There are so many gorgeous papers out there! This one is easily layered with two solid colors picked out from the printed selection.

More Simplicity
Again, more cards made by easily layering printed and plain paper and adorning with punched circles, hearts and words. You can do it!

Easy-peasy!
Remember, cards don't have to be complicated to be pretty and sophisticated. This card is simple card stock folded with a layer of a printed pattern paper adhered to the front. The finishing touch is a heart punched out of the base card stock color and you're done! (To make the punched heart have the look of some texture, I did take a background type stamp and stamped it using Versa Mark ink... if you don't know what that is, it is an ink -available at www.stampinupheidi.stampinup.net- that leaves the impression that your paper has a water mark.)

Kentucky Inspiration!
Here I am in Louisville, Kentucky and ready to make some more cards and do some more paper crafts!
Visit my new business site www.stampinupheidi.stampinup.net! Many of my creations on this "Heidi's Cards" blog are made with Stampin' Up! products and I really gain all my inspiration from being involved with Stampin' Up!
And I am inspired by my new location... living in Kentucky is going to be great!

Valentine's Day Revisited
Well... I couldn't show you this card until after I gave it to my dearest husband! (Not that I think he checks out my "card" blog often... or at all. And that is fine.) Anyway... got the idea from a card I saw at Target. Almost bought the card at Target... but then decided to dedicate the time and the love and make a card with my personal touches.
This shows the card all opened up. Basically it is patterned paper adhered to heavy cardstock... with embellishments added. This shows the card with the main features... I used the computer to make the words... I added some small silver hearts to the "My Husband" section... and decorative brads to the "My Friend" page... and a fastener that said "forever" I added to the "My Love" page. (I did not show you those things in a photo here because I had also written personal note to my husband, too, that I did not want to show here... sorry!)-
Anyway... I think you should be able to click on the photo if you want to see it up closer.

I *heart* Valentine's Day!

I just wish that people would send more snail mail... I love the romance in that hand delivered item with a personalized note inside. I admit that I have gotten worse with sending a handwritten letter since I discovered the ease of e-mail (and realizing how much time it takes nowadays to have a family to manage). So, here is a heart going out to you for Valentine's day... on the ol' blog (*sigh* not in your mailbox)... but this one will go to someone this year.

Cupid is On the Loose!
Love is in the air as Valentine's Day arrives! (Well, either love or dollar signs as retailers perpare to cash in on another holiday!) Anyway... it has been cute as my older, little guy is now coming home with little "love" notes from girls at school!!! He is in kindergarten, folks! And he says that he does not want to be in love. (I tell him that that is a good idea!)So... with love floating about, here is a simple (as I always say) Valentine's card to share. More again soon!

Miscellaneous

Here again is my favorite "thank you" stamp... used with a basic background in black and matching gold embossing. (I thought that the backgorund ended up looking a bit like a leopard print!)
Here is that ol' zebra print back again (used it here, too... and then I went to look for more of this paper at the store and couldn't find any! Just goes to show you to buy at least 4 sheets of the stuff the first time! :-) Anyway... this was somewhat successfully adapted from an idea I got out of a magazine (maybe it was Scrapbooks etc.??? I don't remember.)
This is another pocket card (the one I give Jaimie, my Stampin' Up! demonstrator, credit for HERE)... for a brand new baby of a friend. If you click this photo to get a closer view of the card, you can see how I used beads on the flap of the card for some detail.
